Mike, I totally agree. Having a few smart people really helps significanlty. I have 2 sites that I visit every once in a while of which both have some really talented smart people. Only thing is, the site just doesn't take off without a lot of work.

http://www.diywebserver.com  which is probably the one with the most potential that I have ever visited. Just not enough traffic. They have some fantastic tutorials there to get started on your own hosting. However, it is a windows and linux site.

http://www.linuxcitizen.com was actually one I was involved with but have given up because of time restraints. Feel free to check em out. Why not give it a try? I think the tough thing is to get people to come.

iowamf here's mine. I run a CLI linux OS called http://www.tinysofa.org, had to reboot for a kernel upgrade otherwise I would have a pretty good uptime.

Me too. That's why I haven't totally switched to linux yet. Besides, I have an ATI video card which isn't 3d supported in linux yet. Don't have the money to get a new nVidia card till after xmas... I'm hoping something good happens in linux before Vista comes out and spoils Bill's fun!
