My website is warnexus.net

I currently use Mkportal with SMF.
However I have recently installed TP with SMF.

I have installed TP into the /forum directory.

However, I would like TP content to appear in the root of my domain (www.warnexus.net ) rather than in the forum directory (www.warnexus.net/forum )
Is there any way to get TP to do this?
I guess I can redirect to www.warnexus.net/forum from the root of my domain if someone goes there, but I'm hoping there's a better way.

Thanks in advance. :)

It is possible to move the content of the forum folder to the root folder but you would have to change your settings for SMF so it know where it is installed.. and also you would have to run repair_settings.php that can be found over at SMF.. its a risky bussiness so if i was you i would go either for the redirect solution.. or make a index.html with a dynamic iframe to show your forum in the root folder.. hope this helps  ;)

NO, you CANT have TP in any other directory then the forum as it is wrapped IN to the forum as a MOD to it.

I prrobably won't go with the first suggestion.
It sounds very risky, especially when I add mods and stuff, which will probably expect a certain directory structure.

Well, barring any other suggestions, I will probably go with the redirect option.

Thanks for the answers  :)

Hmm, looking at this site, it has TP and SMf installed in the root.

Maybe bloc installed smf in the root though, thus making TP easy enough to install in the root.

On my sites (http://www.onlinegamerscentral http://www.tyraenny.com http://www.deadparrotsguild.net) I first installed SMF onto the root and then installed TP. This is the solution you are looking for. It is possible (but OMG laborious lemmie tell you) to copy over peacemeal the contents of a db backup into a new DP installed in the root and thus carry over your users and posts into a new installation. (has to be an easier way, but I went with what I knew would work)

As i said, you cant have the forum in one dir, and TP in another, you need to have them both in the same dir.

You can have the forum in the root and then install TP there, but you cant have SMF in one dir and TP alone in root.

Sure nps.
If I move TP to the root I would also move SMF.
