left blocks

I just created a new member group and they cant see the blocks on the left
is there a way i can fix this?

Allow it in block permissions. Admin > Block Manager > Edit. You will have to do it for each block.

Any time you add a new membergroup you have to do the rounds to set the permissions for the new group.

is there a way to turn off the blocks for just the forum view I know you can turn them off completely but would like them left on the front page just not on the forums. If not this would be a nice feature to add so when on the forum you have the option of having them visable or not.

Look in your Settings or Frontpage settings for the option to turn them off in the forum. Its already there.

thanks for that, i jad the same problem with not knowing why my new membergroup coulnd't see the blocks, this thread really helped me sort out the problme quickly.
