Thanks again.  I have created the basic HTML page, and uploaded it via FTP.  If I go here I see it http://www.d2au.com/sundry/googlemap.html

I have used "add php" and inserted the following:

include('/home/.tabakittyovenheater/winaje/d2au.com/sundry/googlemap.html');

in the box.

I then saved the article set to show on front page, and active.  In front page settings, what to show on front page is set to "articles only"

But, it's still showing up a blank article window...  ???

if you put the file in the root of your SMF folder, try it without the full path. Just like this:
include('googlemap.html');

It works on mine, I just tested it.

Ok.  It's kind of working on mine as well.  The problem must have something to do with the fact that I am logged in as admin.  I load the page fine when in FF as a guest.  Just need to work out the permissions issue, but I'd say that the main topic of this thread has been solved.

My many thanks to all who replied with their input and assistance.
