and see what is happening with the clock in the upper left corner while surfing with
IE, Firefox, and Opera

the code of the relative block
<div style="position:relative; top:-15px; text-align:center"><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="110" height="110">

</object></div>

I think you should be able to change position: relative to position: middle; and it whould work fine.

fugi

nop and for an unexplained reason it's stacked!!
I've tried even -50 px (relative /middle) without result

IchBin

Why do you have -15 for top? That pulls it up, not down. Set both middle and a positive top padding.

Are u sure the word middle is correct?
When i've try relative i can move it at will by changing the top.
When I set position:middle it locks and the top property does nothing

IchBin

try padding-top instead.
You might even be able to get rid of the position setting.

fugi

If I pad top (as now) then we return back to where we start .
Problems with the different browsers.

One thing you'll want to do is get rid of the spaces and returns because div's pick that stuff up. Copy paste this into your block and then you can change paddings/margins if you need more. And you can also change the align attribute.
<div align="center" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="110" height="110"><param name="movie" value="http://www.thmmy.gr/Files/gem_clock.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><embed src="http://www.thmmy.gr/Files/gem_clock.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="110" height="110"></embed></object></div>
