OK, my localhost is playing dodgy. No matter what combination of permissions i try to set whenever I click "Apply Mod" in TinyPortal it takes me to the FTP screen telling permissions or incorrect or files need to be created screen.

Is there a way I can MANUALLY install TinyPortal into my localhost copy of SMF? Because testing stuff out on the web (especially for a fairly newbie SMF user like me) can be slow, tedious and tricky...

so is there anyway to get TinyPortal to install on my localhost copy of SMF. BTW, most other mods's "Apply Mod" seems to take me to the right screen.....

edit; OR is there a method to atleast see what files the package manager cannot apparently write i.e. files/folders with the incorrect permissions?

With manually install is it possible to un-install it ?

To uninstall it you'll have to just remove the files, delete the tables from your database, replace the default themes index.template.php file, and I think the errors.php and Load.php from the Source directory.
