Would anybody have any idea how I could use the flashchat.php file within an artilce to start the chat within that article?  rather then opening up a new window.  I would like to use the TP template w/ flashchat.

Thanks!

Create a php article and add this code in it.

include('path/to/flashchat.php');

You could also look here to see how to integrate it into your site without popping up in a new window.

the php file that that topic has you make...
the line that has the iframe tag...

change it to something like this:

echo '<iframe width="100%" height="450" src="http://www.technodragon.net/forum/chat/flashchat.php"></iframe>';

that will allow you to change the size of the frame so that you can adjust the size of the chatroom once it opens up

You have both been a great help and it works!  ;D

I just had to fiddle with the height and width and bingo!  I can't thank you both enough  /thumbs up

anytime...these guys here have been such a great help for me...the fact that I can give something back in return is great too!

Hey guys, the first one didnt work for me ( using the include ).

I had already tried using the iframe, which worked, but I still have to login, even though I am already logged into tinyportal. Any ideas? According to the documentation, if I am logged in already to the cms, I shouldnt have to log in to the flashchat. I figure it has something to do with the iframe.

I am looking for the same. Did it worked for you whoflungdoo  ?

If you'er going to use an iframe you might want to check this thread where G6 posted the code for an iframe with auto-resize... it works great.  ;D

Call me crazy, but wasn't there a post or topic about a block code where it would popup an individual window with no address bar and none of the other stuff, making it more of a separate chat window than just another browser opening.

I know I had this on my site a while back and I took it down, since then I've been kicking myself for not saving that code or saving an older DB backup that would still have it.
