Is there any way I can allow users to upload from the download manger ? I want my users to share assignment, project reports, books with each other from the download section making it easy for them to upload and download, rather than from forum.
Regards,
Jim

Lesmond,
Once again thank you for your help. :)
I went through that document. But still as a normal user i cant see upload in download manager, but as admin I can see that. I went through SMF Administration as well. Attachments are enabled. My users groups are default I havent added any user groups after SMF installation.
user groups are:

Regular groups

Administrator (?)
Global Moderator
Moderator (?)

Post count based groups
Name
Newbie
Jr. Member
Full Member
Sr. Member
Hero Member

Do I need to create another users group and apply permissions to them ?
Best regards,
Jim

No, you don't. If you want every user to be able to upload, just go to admin - permissions and press "modify" on the "regular members" item. Then scroll down to "TinyPortal Download manager" section on the new page and tick the item "upload file".

Then they will have the option to upload shown in the "admin" block and can upload as they wish.

If you rather want to limit it, use submission so you need to approve every upload - or make a new membegroup with the upload permission(not setting it for regular users at all) and assign trusted members to that group.

Thanks a lot, you are really great :) , its working now. So I dont need to create any extra group right in addition to what SMF has builtin ?

Nope, TinyPortal uses the SMF permissions so there's no need to add any groups.
