I've installed TinyPortal and am very pleased with it so far - but can anybody advise how to create a root home page?

Currently I have it installed here:

http://www.pre-cert.co.uk/forum/

And wish to migrate all of this information onto a TinyPortal home page with latest posts etc:

http://www.pre-cert.co.uk/

Is this something that's simple to set-up?

And can I set up a movie database using TinyPortal?

What you can do with TinyPortal is completely up to you. If you want to move everything out of your forum directory then all you need to do is move the files over, and then run repair_settings.php which you can get from the SMF downloads section. You'll then have to manually go in an fix the paths to your other themes and stuff once you move.

Movie database, not sure what you're requiring to consider it a database, so I can't really give you a straight answer.

OK, thanks - is there some sort of guide for what I need to change once the homepage has been moved?

as for the movie database, this is what I'm referring to:

http://www.pre-cert.co.uk/cgi-bin/cms/search
http://www.pre-cert.co.uk/cgi-bin/cms/Film/63426

It's current running via another MySQL database with a custom written perl driven CMS.
