Newbie Question about The Downloads Module

Just a question about this downloads module:  Does it allow users to change downloads they previously put in?  That feature would be great for a website like mine as it is a programming website where people can post their latest games.  Often time people will update their software multiple times, so its important that they can modify their entries, etc.

Currently, I think there's no way to edit the download of the current download. You have to submit a new download.

Ahh ok.. The Downloads MOd wouldn't be useful for me but it was expected considering this is what other CMS "Downloads" sections incorporate.  I would really love to have something better.  I was thinking of hopping over to RentaCoder but that might be a mistake
