Hello!  I have successfully installed TP and it shows up in my Package Manager list.  Unfortunately, I don't seem to have any way to access the TP admin panel.

I use a modified version of Babylon for my forum and have added the Babylon folder images to it.  But I just don't see anything.

Could you tell me what I may have missed or messed up?

Thanks for your help!

Kathy

PS: I am using SMF 1.1.1

You don't see any links in your admin panel for TinyPortal? Did you look at the default theme?

Hi!  I have checked default and there are no links in that either (although, interestingly enough, there is a left menu item for Icons which doesn't exist in my current theme).

My Babylon version is exactly the same as the regular Babylon except I turned everything purple (long story).  So except for the color scheme, there's nothing else I've intentionally changed.  Accidentally?  Perhaps!

I did notice in my Tiny Portal listing in Package Manager that it only says List Files and Delete.  Others also include Install/Uninstall unless they are the avatar mods, etc.  Is it probable that TP did not install correctly even though the manual install file ran and said it did?

Thanks for any other ideas!

From your description i dont think TP installed successfully to your site.

What you can do is to download the manual install package, extract the files and upload then to your forum and overwrite the old ones (and really make sure they DO get overwrited and that the new files really DO upload to the dirs)

Then refresh your forum and have a look again if the TP is precent

Thank you.  I had no luck with the package manager install version so I uploaded the manual files.  I will do that again, this time checking every folder first.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions!  It's such a great add-on that I'm looking forward to getting it up and running!

If you went with the manuall install the first time, did you point your browser to the manual_tp_install.php for the DB install, and did you copy and paste the manual code you have to place into the SMF files manually ?

If not, and if you dont have other mods installed, you can use the premade files from the installationsboard and extract the files and upload them to your forum and overwrite the old ones.

Make a backup first though  !!

I did point to the manual_tp_install.php file and got a happy message that all went well.  I also edited the files (backups of the originals in place!) as directed but it is entirely possible that I made a mistake.  I seem to recall having trouble with one small place - either I couldn't find the code or the code I found didn't exactly match what was in the edits.  I can't remember just this moment.

I will check all those things again, however, and see if I missed something.
