I was like to see a standard option to enabled, or disable sideblocks when actually viewing the forums.

you can turn them both off when vieing the forum in tpadmin.

Wow, as often as I looked, I somehow managed to overlook that option. I thought it did, but couldn't find it.

I found it now.
