After browsing tons of posts...

Hey guys. I first tried installing TP via the SMF package manager. It asked for FTP information to change permissions etc. on its own, but no matter how many server addresses and directories I tried, it kept saying there was an incorrect FTP login.

So, I tried the manual install. I uploaded all the files into their correct directories, made sure they were set as CHMOD 777, and then tried to run the manual_tp_install.php on the root level. I received this message:

    * Upshrink table exists
    * Settings table exists
          o Updated version to 095
    * Blocks table exists
    * Variables table exists
          o Changed value5 in variables table
    * Articles table exists
          o Updated body in articles table
    * DL manager table exists

TinyPortalÂÃ,´s table structure is now installed/updated.

However, TP is not showing up under packages, nor is there any TP Admin panel showing up anywhere. And yes, I deleted all the themes besides SMF Default before installing.

Please help! Thanks.

If the package manager faild to installl the TP on your board, it didnt extract the zip and placed the TP files where they should be.

At this point you have to install it manually.

Download the TinyPortal Files only package and extract the package to your local machine, then FTP them all up to your forum.

Then, go back to the forum, REMOVE the custome themes you have installed as they will not work when you have TP installed. Also remove the themes you installd manually from the themes folder in the forum
Set your forum to SMF default CORE theme.

Then download this zip file http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=9632.0;attach=6630
Extract the files on your local machine, upload them to your forum through FTP or Cpanel, and overwrite the existing ones.  Then point your browser to the file (manual_tp_install.php ) like this
http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/manual_tp_install.php and then refresh your forum and then look for the themes you want to install from here http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=cat344 or from here http://www.familjegodis.se/forum   register and look in the download section.

G6 thanks a bunch for replying. It is working now, though I'm still not sure what was wrong. I found an older post that linked to that same zip file you showed me, and after uploading those files, it worked. Why isn't that zip package link anywhere in the TP download or FAQ sections? I truly appreciate all the help here, though I must say, it would seem a few simple updates to the installation instructions would save a whole lot of work for the dedicated posters here!
