i use www.montecarlohosting.net as well! its great!

i know this is a late reply to the thread... but i think my word is important

support is great! if i have just about any issue.. christian "owner of mch" can help me with it

prices. sure... a little higher than an "average" host. but mch isnt a average host

as he has said "the hand holding is included in the prices"
his servers seem to be setup specially to run smf forums they run flawlessly

and the best thing i can tell you is...

Short Downtime 2006-05-02
This morning, from 6:51 AM, to 6:55 AM we experienced a short outage, due to a MySQL upgrade. However, everything is now back to normal. Thankyou for your Patience.

those are the only 2 downtimes the sever i am on has had besides the reboot the server does every once in a while.. "usually 1-3 months apart"

and i have been with mch since 2006-02-19!!! thats like.. maybe 40 minutes of downtime in a year? "including reboots"

i havent really experinced any slowdowns either! only thing keeping the page from loading faster is well.. my download speeds

so bottom line...
mch has had perfect customer service for me.
near perfect uptime over a span of almost a year.
pages always load fast for me
even has msn support... (i prefer)
never oversells

compare to another host..
2-3$ a month cheaper?
sloppy support "usually playing email/ticket tag"
low quality servers that are unreliable
usually no chat client support...
usually oversells

so when it comes down to it. mch is way ahead of other hosts. i believe you and anyone else needing hosting would be better off using mch!
