We were hacked in our SMF, with TP.

Yes, now someone is getting my point over here... And yes, I have addressed that security issue form... and just received and email saying

I think i will lock this topic now.

Wait for their responce on your submission and keep talking to your host and ask them to check even further on the settings they have. We cant do anything more then what we have asked you to read so you understand how SMF and the permission works.
There is no use in continue with this topic from this point forward.
