I believe that's true IchBin, for a ajax enabled tab you'll have to use an ajax js framework to call the function and then parse/display the result from another php script. This won't be the scope of TP anymore though, imo. You can explore Scriptaculous, http://script.aculo.us), moofx is only as what it is - a js effects framework.

I say, it's not worthed the effort if you just want to ajax-enable 1 portion of your site just for frills.
