new install for n00b

anyone pls tell me the step by step how to install this TP ?

Those are all issues with your server and database. Make sure you are giving the correct information about your database and that you have a connection to the internet. Check with your host to make sure you are not having server issues there.

to ask someone that can give any step by step procedure bout this tinyportal cause im very newbie bout this TP

You don't have to unstall the old TP off of your forum if you have it install.  Just go throw your Package Manager on your forum.

TP is the same way as a Mod.  But make sure you do a FULL backup on your forum and database if in cause something go's something wrong.

so i should install SMF first at root dir
then i put the TP ?

Yes, Create a database before you do anything. Then Install SMF in public_html folder in your cpanel. After you got that install TP throw your's Package Manager on your forum.

First off go to this site http://www.simplemachines.org/download/ and download the file call SMF 1.1.2 Full install it's come in a zip file.

Then create a database and a username and password for that database.

After you done that.  You will upload that zip file to your public_html folder then hit Extract File Contents from that zip file. 

Then you will type this www.yoursite.com/install.php

It's will bring you up to a set-up. Fill tha set up and follower what they said.

badm4n, you should really take a good read in the SMF docs. Instead of making everyone type out what has already been written. Check out the Online Manual at the SMF site. It will tell you how to install SMF and how to install Mods (like TinyPortal). Once you get your SMF setup, come here for installation instructions located in our docs section.

yeah sorry ihave only already install 4 smf but i really not know abouut this tiny portal

afaik : TinyPortal > Forum > Development > Support > Installation > new install for n00b

that is tinyportal not smf
and i have login to at smf official site to get HELP ABOUT SMF

btw thx for admin's support to open my eyes. that every product should not have support section for n00b

ps : from beginning im not talk about HOW TO INSTALL SMF
