That's not such a bad idea for just a couple of people.

For Articles, a freestyle article could form the basis of a blog.

At least it works within the existing set of features.

I'd bet an article could be pre-formatted in a template to look half-way decent as well.

I haven't really decided what it will be...just airing thoughts etc. I like to keep the articles focused on the doucment repository aspect. Just trying to get an overview of what would be needed to make it into some sort of blog - easily.

Probably. And if Feline is already on it, thats more than likely what she'll do. She seems to like things to utilise existings stuff, rather than bulk things up by doing  them twice.

I think you are doing the right thing:

Besides, the article system is quite powerful in its PHP and HTML capabilities.

What's the status on this project?  I'm quite interested.

I have a website in the works for a local band and I'd love to use this.

Somebody over @ the phpbb community has made it work for them..

but again, i prefer SMF.
