when editng an article the dropdown menu only goes to 2006
could this be fixed?

I would say that it's rather an error trapping routine and not a bug  ;)

We have a few months left for 2006 to end.

never said it was a bug

but I thought I'd point it out in the Bugs/Error section so someone knows
I used search and as far as what I seen it wasnt posted ( could be wrong )

Its meant to be this way. :) The dropdown only lists up to current year..so by New Years Day you get 2007 as well. Articles do not hide if the creation time is set to the future - as you would expect perhaps - so it serves no purpose having years ahead to choose from.

That feature might be included in next versions of TP though, but not in upcoming 0.9.5 version.

Assistance

setting a future date is the only current way to set "feature" more then one article

You can only have one featured article on the frontpage.
Featured meand First place, you can only have 1 number one ;)

I see the point though..to make the others appear high up. But with the day/month and present year timespace it should be quite possible to shuffle around.

I have however looked at making articles "sticky" - as in appear AFTER featured (this HAS to be just one article since its tied up against frontpage- show single article option) - sorted on date there as well. So you essentially could sticky thsoe you want high up and just set dates for the positions between them.

I think that will be more versatile in terms of having more than one "featured" article. Its essentially sticky + one super sticky lol. :)

Assistance

that would be perfect for how I currently use the dates :P

but I still suggest havin further dates

for example:
when viewing a cat, how are they shown ( I use intro for 30-40 articles )
but they need to be in an order and the new articles I write should actually be last
or maybe in the middle. ( shown by date )

ah ..... maybe have an ordering number? ,much like how blocks are set up ?

That is also an feature I will try out in future releases.
