Forum version: SMF 1.0.7

1st off when i follow the install directions and go to
"Go to Package Manager > Installation Options > Cleanup Permissions > Select  All are files writable and click on "Go""

i do not have the option "Cleanup Permissions > Select" ,it is not there

so i upload the package and click on install and get this,

"Install Actions for archive Tinyportal0_86.zip:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

any clues?

Read this post last page.

http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=3860.90

And download that TP install package, and you should be ok :)

thank you for the quick reply. i found that after i posted and now i get this far,

2: mkdir(public_html/tmsmf/Packages/temp/Themes/babylon/): No such file or directory
File: /public_html/tmsmf/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 413

i was reading the thread about this and deleted the files in the temp but still only get this far.

G6Cad

You have to go with the manual install package for Tinyportal.
It sounds bad, but it is really not that bad or hard if you follow the description.

Here are the manual install files.
Here are the database files.
And the textfile on the step by step manual on how to install here

Read the textfile before you start installing the files and make the changes to the files, The text show all versions so make sure you follow the one for your version of SMF.

Good luck :)

yosemite

are there directions for the manual install?
i see you edit the index.php and others and then do i download the files such as all the ones included in tp/Sources to the smf/Sources ?

and then run the database update?

G6Cad

I uploaded the files from the package first, then i added in thecodestrings from the textfiles as described.
Then i did the database install.  :)

yosemite

again thank you for all the help and 1 more question.

does it seem that folks are having problems installing sine smf went to 1.0.7?

should i try it on the 1.0.6?

thanks

G6Cad

You can go that way, but they havent got the 1.0.6 at SMF forums anymore,

Then again, i did the install from that link i gave you, and it workt from the manual install.

yosemite

thanks, i have the 1.0.6 and i am in the process of installing 1.1 rc2 to see if that will let tp install. i will post the results
