I have awstats live update. But They provide stats of complete site and not for forum only.

With awstats, I can see quite a bit:

Summary
When:
Monthly history
Days of month
Days of week
Hours
Who:
Countries
   Full list
Hosts
   Full list
   Last visit
   Unresolved IP Address
Authenticated users
   Full list
   Last visit
Robots/Spiders visitors
   Full list
   Last visit
Navigation:
Visits duration
Files type
Viewed
   Full list
   Entry
   Exit
Operating Systems
   Versions
   Unknown
Browsers
   Versions
   Unknown
Referers:
Origin
   Refering search engines
   Refering sites
Search
   Search Keyphrases
   Search Keywords
Others:
Miscellaneous
HTTP Error codes
   Pages not found

Of course, it all depends on which build is installed for you. I provide full awstats, Webalizer, analog and more to all domains.

Well, I have almost the same. I am taking that if the forum is a part of your website and not whole website and if you did not configure a subdomain for it then it is difficult to analyse the unique visitors to only your forum section. Like in my case I am going to have a link directory and a classified section in the site other than the forum. Awstats will tell me the total number of visitors who has visited my site in a day but it would not provide me with the info that among 500 uniques how many were of forum and how many for the classsifieds.

I hope my question is little more clear now.

BTW, it is a mod in phpBB. So I thought that it might be possible for SMF.
