I run two forums with the same software (SMF 1.1.1 and TP V.0.9.7.1)
As administrator I can see the text [Edit article] [Edit options] with every article on one of the forums (www.petsfriendsforum.nl)

On the other one at the other hand this text is missing.
On this forum (www.tussendevaarten.nl) I can't check the option "Hide the edit article link under articles?" in the settings section of TP.
After any input (yes/no) the option is blank again.

Also the error report shows the next two messages:

8: Undefined index: hide_editarticle_link
File: /home/tussendevaarten/html/tussendevaarten.nl/Themes/default/Admin.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 604

8: Undefined index: hide_editarticle_link
File: /home/tussendevaarten/html/tussendevaarten.nl/Themes/default/Admin.template.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 605

Anyone any idea?

It is not thát important, it's just annoying :)

Seems like it could be some language strings missing.
Can you try and update the TP language files for that forum with new ones and see if you get it to work.
And possibly also update the Admin.template.php to just to be sure.

Henk

Nope G6, did it both but it still gives me the "Undefined index: hide_editarticle_link
" error.
Hmm, just remembered... there IS a difference.... this forum runs on a SQL 5 platform.

Maybe TP V.0.9.8 will fix it....?

IchBin

Can you attach your TPortalAdmin.template.php to this topic so I can take a look at it. I'm wondering if its something in there.

Henk

Sorry, was offline for a few days.
Here you go...

IchBin

Oops, I'm sorry I meant TPortalAdmin.english.php

Henk

Even when I'm using "Dutch" as default language....?

IchBin

Well, then make sure you have this line in your file.

$txt['tp-hidearticle-link'] = 'Hide the edit article link under articles?';

Of course it will be in Dutch if translated. :)

To be sure, this file is located in THEMES | DEFAULT | LANGUAGES ?
Even when I use the Apollo theme?

If so, the string is actually there in both cases (dutch / english)

Update: TP still generates the two error messages mentioned in the first post when trying to de-activate the "Hide the edit article link under articles?" option in the admin panel of TP. This option still is blank, no radiobutton is activated and when I do, after an execute the radiobuttons are blank again.

Can I re-instal TP entirely?

IchBin

Run the manual_tp_install.php file and see if it will update your database tables. I wonder if you're missing something.
