Editing TPortal.template to change css class.

I have been fiddling around for a while today trying to get my article display as I want it. I have edited out the linktree, date and created by, leaving only the article name. I now want to get the title border and background to match the rest of the titles etc. I only want the title to show at the top of the article, so I need to insert some code. But I don't seem to be able to work out where.

I've already done the similar to the forum, setting the linktree in a title box with a background.

I've attached two bits from screenshots to illustrate what I mean.
TPtitle_forum - shows part of the menu block and the forum, TPtitle_article - shows part of the same menu block but this time with an article.
