I have a problem I hope someone could help me with.
I want to be able to "pull" posts from a specific room from the SMF forum and "post" this on the Frontpage of the TP.

Do get this ain't to hard really. All I have to do is to "call" a room ID with a ssi_boardNews.

or you can use a slightly longer code from SMF site:
ssi_boardNews($board = 5.0, $limit = 5, $start = null, $length = 250, $output_method = 'echo');
or you can use the Admin > TP-Settings > Frontpage > Show forum-posts on frontpage from: the room you want to be shown on the frontpage.

And this works fine.
As long as EVERYBODY can see this room you have choosen.
With the built in ready TP function, if you "point" to a "group member only room", nothing is seen. Even if you are logged in as an Admin.

If you want to point to a room ID that only certain membership groups are allowed to see with the help of the 2 minisnippets I posted above, then you will get the message:
You cannot specify a board that doesn't allow guests. Please check the board ID before trying again.

I can ofcourse only allow certain member groups to see this PHP snippet block, but that won't help in the end cus they still just can enter the forum and see the room the regular way, since I MUST let "Guests" to see it else it won't show up on the frontpage.

*sighs*
Why won't TP let nonguest rooms to be shown in any of the Blocks (This goes for Left/Right/Center/Frontpage)?
And can this be "worked around"/fixed?

This is really a "must have" for my community, so frustrating it won't work since it do fine in the SMF itself.
