I am from the old school. My husband of 42 years is my only one.  Not too many can say that nowadays I know.  Maybe I was wise beyond my years, maybe my strict up bringing has a great bearing on me or maybe I was just lucky to find a mate that was so compatible.

We raised three sons, but as most of you may already know, I have adopted my ten year old granddaughter.  This is quite an experience!  I am making sure she is educated properly in the ritual of a normal home environment. From keeping a home to what goes on in the bedroom, not so much sex, for she is a little young yet, but we have had the talk.

She knows that soon her body will change and I am being as frank with her as I can without adding mystery that would make her so curious as to want to try things that she shouldnââ,¬â,,¢t.  She does know the fundamentals of have a new life is conceived and I use language or words that is appropriate and not ââ,¬Ëœgutter languageââ,¬â,,¢ of the streets.

I stress the important of refraining from sexual behavior until marriage.  Now, she may not wait until marriage, but maybe at least she will not be promiscuous should marriage not be in her life. 

For I also stress the important of being able to care for herself when she is grown and not rely on anyone else for her support.   This of course means a good education and staying away from drugs, etc.

She knows that her mother lost her due to wanton behavior and drug use, which she could not give up long enough to get her two children out of foster care.  Lauren was two when my son and her mother split, not long after her mother left her son and daughter in the care of relatives.  She was supposed to return in two weeks, she was gone for months.  Long story short, the children wound up in foster care, they were in foster care for two years and when she came to live with me she was four.

Later we learned that my son was not Laurenââ,¬â,,¢s father, a blow that was hard for all of us to take, but we dealt with it and proceeded with the adoption which was final in Sep. of 2005.

yea I definately believe in preserving oneself and respecting themselves and others too

i see so many people just having sex just cos 'its fun'
well it may be fun but that dosent mean u go around bonking every tom dick and harry u find attractive
unfortunately a lot of people also fall prey to serious diseases due to this sorta stuff

but anyways that was my 2 cents
