Good luck!

crip~

resurgence

i personally enjoy flashchat

IchBin

That one doesn't seem to me RC1 compatible crip.

Xarcell

Use flashchat, it's better and it's an easy install..

Also, this thread is in teh wrong place. Please move it.

snork13

I use FlashChat too, and love it ....and it intergrates with smf very easily

Does flashchat put the server under much strain?

I dont like that i need to pay for FlashChat.
I will stay in PJIRC.

Moocat

lol my suggestion is going and getting a userplane chat room or X7 chat. pjirc tended to screw everything up on my tp forum. if not that, it simply looked ugly. ;)

Yngwiedis

I am very pleased of my current hosting company.
I am their client for almost 4 years now.
Is better to have all the services and support you need, in addition of some more money ;)
Thank you anyway.

Yngwiedis

OK guys. You make me change my mind and i buy Flashchat :)
But now i have a problem.
All users can access the flashchat, except the users that belong to a non default ( from installation of SMF ) membergroup. What can i do for this ?

P.S. If this is not the right place for that post please move it.

Yngwiedis

IchBin

I'm not sure what you can do about this. I think I read something on the SMF forums about being able to assign all members to a group. You may want to assign the "non default" to fix this.

Yngwiedis

So its an "official" bug of Flashchat ?
I will be very happy if you give me the URL of the topic you said ;D

IchBin

I don't think it's a bug for flashchat. It's just a permissions problem between SMF and flashchat which appears to happen with ungrouped memebers. At least thats what I'm understanding.

I think this is what I was thinking about.

The problem i had is not with ungrouped members.
Maybe you dont understand me ;
I will try to explain...

You know what is the default membergroups of SMF. No need to write them.
So if i will create one new membergroup ( for example : Clan Administrator ) and i give to that group full Administrator rights and assign some users to that membergroup, the users cant get in the Flashchat.
This is happened to every user who belongs to all the membergroups I create. Is not happened to the users who belongs to all the default membergroups of SMF.
You think is the same problem with this problem you said ?

IchBin

No, that sounds like a different problem that what I originally though. Have you searched the chat mod website for anything related to this?

Yngwiedis

You mean Flashchat official site ?
Yes i had search but i cant find anything.

IchBin

Yeah, that's what I meant.
Sorry, but someone else will have to speak up. I don't know anything about the chat mods that are out there.

Yngwiedis

I just found the solution.
Here is the topic from official Flashchat forum : http://wwww.tufat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10944
I did it and it works ;D
Thank you for your help one more time IchBin ;)
Case closed.

Amay_Zing

mmm I think you are right flashchat uses the cms in the smf integration and therefore takes the rules from there. I think Ichbin is def on right trackÂÃ,  ;D

Duh did not see the post above  :uglystupid2:

gerrymo

Here is one of the topics about integration that I had. It does work, just alter both the SMF files to the value in the topic. HOWEVER, it is ROLE_USER not ROLE USERS (Remove the "S")

Amay_Zing

Yep saw that one ;D

how do you stop the spy, admin login from direct link?
