Site Name: SoCal Tec Divers
Site URL: http://socaltecdivers.com
Site Owner: Bruce Wyrwitzke
Site Designer: Bruce Wyrwitzke
Theme Designer: Modified BZ14 Theme (original theme by Bloc)
Site Genre: Technical Diving - Mixed Gas, Decompression, Wreck Diving, and Cave Diving

Likes: I love the menu bar piece of the theme.  Having the drop downs makes it easy when you a number of categories to show.  Not having to integrate with Joomla!

Dislikes: The News Fader font when using IE and not being able to keep the current section hilighted in the menu.

Modfications to the original theme:
- Changed colors to closer match my old theme (Lush by Joomlashack on the Joomla side and modified Versatility by RocketTheme on the SMF side)
- Moved User info into the header
- Added News Fader to the header

If you're interested in taking a closer look, I've set up a temp user name (tinyportal) and pass (tp1password).  Any suggestions/criticisms to help make things look better would be appreciated (I'm a hack when it comes to this stuff).  Thanks.

Bruce

Seems to be some issues with your forum, cant see any topics or posts what so ever, even if the stats say there should be a lot.

bwyrwitzke

The forum can't be viewed by guests.  Login info is in the original post.

Maybe changing it to viewable by guests is a good idea!

G6Cad

I know, but what i mean is that you see the forum, but instead of showing a message with "you need to be registerd to see any forum or forum posts" I see the category bars named as

Trips and Charters
Board name    Posts     Topics     Last post

I should not be able to see that eather.
Look a bit strange  :)

Interesting.  I'll take a look.  Thanks for the heads up!

Edit:  Got that issue fixed.

Edit of the edit:  Ooops.  Not so fast.  I made it so guests can't browse the forum and now they can't see the front page created by TP.  Not sure how to find the middle ground.  Any suggestions?

IchBin

Allow guests to view, but not post. Isn't that middle ground?

G6Cad

Admin/Members/Permissions/ change the permissions for guests
Check what they can see or not

That's the change I just made.  :)

Always wanted to take a diving licence, but never got around to do it.  :-\
