hi chaps,

I installed SMF forum before 7 months, I upgraded it till the version 1.1.2
but the directory of my forum is sub-directory

www.xxxxxxx.com/smf

I need to install tinyportal but I need it in my main directory not sub-directory

www.xxxxxxx.com

how can is that.

G6Cad

You cant install TP in any other directory then where you have the SMF installed.
TP uses SMF and can not be installed as a standalone portal with out the SMF in the same folder.

If I'm not wrong then what you need to do is install TP into your sub-directory
Then in cpanel set up a redirect. So that www.xxxxxxx.com/smf points to www.xxxxxxx.com.

IchBin

Why not just move everything you need into the proper directory?

Rider the redirect would be the other way round, www.xxxxxxx.com to www.xxxxxxx.com/smf

I had that same issue...I believe all I did was move the index and settings page to the root folder.

Thank you friend for your good answers.

I thing in MKPORTAL the index.php file you have to put it in the root folder.
