My first installation feedback

Hello 

I couldn't find any documentation of any step-by-step on how to install TinyPortal. Wasn't sure if I had to manually unzip and upload the files... finally figured out I could just upload the package. I never did it before.

After that, applying the mod was fairly easy. Got the typical index.template.php error, I just had to change to the default theme and it was fine.

I then downloaded themes and installed those. The only tweaking left would be figuring out how to get my avatars to fit in a 200px wide area and wondering what these errors are for:

I haven't done a search on this forum yet about them, but most of the errors were "memberCount" based and I fixed that.

So... not sure what these are and how to fix these yet.

This is my feedback so far My users comments so far are .. "weird... this is weird" and some who don't like change. (But I do!) I'm enjoying this TinyPortal so far very much.

Only other issue right now is instead of having the articles listed on the front, I tried setting "forum only" and it still lists articles. Is it supposed to do that?

Specifically, what version of SMF and What version of TinyPortal.
Also a list of any other mods you have installed or done yourself.
And lastly post your url as a link to your forum.

I see you are running SMF v1.1.4beta, With the Neptune Theme, this may be some of your trouble, but I do not have that version, so someone else will have to assist you.

I also see TP version 0.6.5, and I am not sure if it's compatable.

They are language strings..either missing ones or faulty. Are you using english or another language?

setting it to forum only will display the news items you post in the forum you specify as the news forum in "frontpage settings". articles submitted to the "news" category thru the submit article button or tpadmin will not appear when it is set to "forum only".
