Error in installing. PLEASE HELP!!!

I have had SMF installed for awhile now and when I tryed to install tiny portal, I went to packages, browse, and uploaded the tiny portal and when I click on upload it says this.

The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

does anyone know what to do?

Download the correct package from the download section, it seems like you have downloaded the manuall install package and not the package that works in the packagemanager.

I looked and I have downloaded the 0.9.8 version, the one that DOES NOT say manual install. It still doesent work.

If you know by heart you have the correct version http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item745 package and it doesent work, you have to manually install tp by following the steps described in our doc section.
