Hi. Here's what I did

I moved all the blocks on to one side of the forum, then an error message popped up on the right hand side of where the blocks used to be.

I went to the admin controls and hit 'delete' on the TP package thing.

Some errors popped up

I went to the home site and this URL came up:
http://xxxs.xxx.com/smf/index.php?action=packages;sa=list;package=TinyPortal_v0.4beta.tar.gz
along with an 'Interal Server Error' page

I tried to manually install the TP again by extracting the files. That didn't work.

So I deleted each file manually. That didn't work.

I still get the 'Internal Server Error', but it is just index.php.

I went to index.php~ in my browser and it came up with this (note that it has some references to TP in it..):

/* This, as you have probably guessed, is the crux on which SMF functions.
Everything should start here, so all the setup and security is done
properly.  The most interesting part of this file is the action array in
the smf_main() function.  It is formatted as so:

'action-in-url' => array('Source-File.php', 'FunctionToCall'),

Then, you can access the FunctionToCall() function from Source-File.php
with the URL index.php?action=action-in-url.  Relatively simple, no?

Is there anything I can do without reinstalling my forum? :(

Bjørn

Yes, there is. If you want to get back to before TP, just download the version of the forum you have (SMF v.1.0.1,1.0.2 or just 1.0) , they are all available at the download section of simplemachines.org..

Then from that extract these files and just upload/overwrite them into the folders as follows(they have corresponding folders insdie the archive too):

index.php - root folder of forum
Sources/Load.php - Sources/ folder
Themes/default/index.template.php - Themes/default/ folder

If you do this, then TP will no longer be present ,and the forum should work as before.

theone1_

It doesn't seem to work  :'( Can I just install over some files, without losing the posts and such of the forum?

IchBin

If you replace the files that Bloc suggested you will not lose any posts or such on your forum.

theone1_

Ok, I got it working.

I followed Bloc's instructions (I'm not a computer noob. I knew what I was doing ;)) but the error still was there.

So I went through the server, and decided to delete the Helios_TP theme folder. It finally loaded but without a theme. But I think that can be fixed :)

Thanks, Bloc and IchBin :D

Bjørn

Yes, I forgot to mention that..erase the TP theme. It will of course search for files that no longer is the right ones.
