QuoteFatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/xxx-xxx/x_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php on line 2428

This is an error when trying to go to page 2 of 2 of a topic.  No other time outs in any other part of our board.
This is page one of our Chaplains quarters forum for our game site. http://www.meowworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=1273.0 Trying to access a recent post on page two gives everyone that error.  The poster stated that when he posted, it was just text, it timed out, he resubmitted and it took.  But now he nor anyone can view that.  No other issues are noted here.  No errors of this in the admin board errors either.

Any ideas?

BTW, this is a fantastic job by Bloc and his team for this Tiny Portal.  Our members and board users want to thank each and everyone as well as this community.

Peace

You should go into the database table through phpMyAdmin (or something) and see if you can find that post. If you see the text of it there, you might be able to figure out what the problem is or you may just have to delete it.

thekatz

Yes, that is a good idea, thank you.

bloc

Seems indeed like some sort of database error. Try maintenace in SMF admin and maybe then check/repair tables in for example PhpMyAdmin.

thekatz

Thank you Bloc, JP
I did find out what the issue was.  Operator error and it wasn't me!  :2funny:
What had happend was the poster (member of our squad) cut and pasted a very large amount of text.  100,000 plus charactors.  I went in and removed the data from that post and all is well.  Please mark this as solved.

BTW, the 30 sec time out, is that a SMF function that can be edited?  We may need to extend that for some uploads/downloads ?

Again, thank you!

bloc

30 sec is probably the server timeout for execution of one single request. You can extend that in the server configuration if you like..but the problem is that most requests should take much less than that.

I think this is a bug in TP 0.9.5 !
beacuse I have this problem too !

in setting , When I changed "Parent category" to "no-category"  we doesn't get this error and we can download all files in that category but we can't download files from child category !!!

G6Cad

This is probably not a TP issue, The forum, borads and posts, childboards are all SMF issues if you have problems with in the FORUM board.

adnan

Oh , excusme !

I have this problem in download center .

We can't download any files in child category !

I open new topic for my issue !
