Hey gang

How about a Chit Chat board??
I normally don't go for idle chit chat but sometimes I get lonely and the Chit Chat board would give me a place to say things like:

Changing servers, again!
Same host but my own box(dedicated) since the VPS was just not cutting. More about that later.

So, the Tiny Portal test sites I put up will down for a bit during the DNS thing. I am planning to migrate them for the heck of it. It will be a good thing to learn.

I did notice a huge speed change from my previous dedicated server which I expected. I did not expect to have nearly a week of problems and the many problems I encountered. Most the issues were due to memory and configuration of the VPS. By the time I changed servers again the most of issues had been resolved but I think memory usage would have been an ongoing problem. Also, the way backups were done the server was shutdown and restarted on anightly basis which meant that I would get a batch of email everynight indicating server failure and restart. I did not change host this time just changed servers. I am writing a review with more detail and will be posting it on SMF. I will let you know when I have posted it.
