Can't see tinyportal panel when changing language

I'm getting this problem, in english the panel is show fine but when I change it to spanish it dissapears. I uploaded all files in the same folder \themes\default\languages

utf8 or regular spanish ?

Is your forum set to use utf8? What is your database encoded to be?

oh that's during the installation right? I think I didn't choose that is there a way to change it now?

Yes, in your Admin/Settings  and in your site amnd maintenance settings you have the setting for Convert the database and data to:

You'll need to go into your database and look at the what the character set is. Then set your forum to the appropriate character set as well. If you need help with that, you should ask at SMF's site. After that, come here and download/install the same character set language files.

I've solved the problem, it was my fault the languague pack for smf was spanish_latin and the tinyportal was only spanish. I simply changed the tp language files for spanish_latin-utf8 and now is working.
