Hi,

I want to relocate to another server/URL step by step.
First I want to move only the database and keep all the rest on the old server... is that a problem for TP?
Does that seem to make sense or should I try a complete relocate?

regards
Michael

Seems so... sometimes I really donĀ“t know how both components are interacting. I guess it will take me some more time to understand all that  :-[

Tinyportal.  Things like articles, shouts, text in your blocks, and all the info in the downloads etc is all stored in the database.  The actual files you have in the downloads, and all images used in blocks and articles are stored on the server and will need to move with it, unless they are embedded from somewhere else.
