when I try and
Which categories should appear in the Category tabs? and I select all of them, That's when I get the error. I never used this option before. I added an image below to show you what I was doing and I click on the submit button

Thanks, how ever you have to remember that every time you find an error in your code is to update the code and then upload it again. That way you don't have these problems all the time. Keep your sources updated.

WillyP

Joe, what you need to remember is that everyone here is a volunteer, we are working unpaid to help you build your site. If you are unwilling to even search a little to help yourself, why should anyone else help you? IchBin will decide when a given code revision is ready for release. Then he will update his code and make it available for download.

Why do you all ways think that we don't all ways search. That's what I do. Most of the time I don't find what I'm looking for and it's because I didn't put a better search string in, that would find what I wanted. Well I wouldn't fount the one IchBin sent me because I started reading each one, One at a time. Man this takes a lot of time going threw each topic just to find one thing. Not every one has that kind of time.

You and him have to remember that not not every one wants to do searches. It just as easy to ask. Then do a search that you will have to spend hours or even days reading threw...

Last thing, Look at the date of that one topic that helped me fix that :val issue. If the source files were updated. I never would have got that error.

Look, Making and maintaining these source files are a pain in the butt. I know. I have 3 web sites of my own I maintain and one at the localhost. that I run a web server and FTP server and crap like that. So I know what it's like. If you need more help. Then you should ask. I'll try and help out users when I can.
See my knowledge is limited when come to this kind of CMS development. Most of it is way over my head. and I been coding in PHP for 4 1/2 years and still don't under stand most of it.

I will try and help when I can. So I'll start checking back 2 times a day and try and help who I can. from what I have leaned all ready.

Joe

As to why we don't think you did a search, or searched enough... there's your answer. You asked, because it is easier than finding it yourself, and IchBin did the work for you.

Freddy

Yeah it seems to me that some people would rather we did all the searching for them ...

iceman11a

Well that's not what I mean, Not every one aspects any one to do work for them. See I spend 100's of hours a week on google.com search and well it gets crazy when your only looking for one thing and you find 1000's a results. The idea is that most of them don't want to have to read threw all of those results to find what they are looking for. Some times they don't all ways enter a good search string. So the result wouldn't be the same. Trust me, IchBin doesn't do 1/2 the work I do.

Freddy

Well then why are you asking us if we're such slackers compared to you then ?

iceman11a

I need to find a way to give you guys a better idea of what I'm saying. You just don't under stand.

1) I'm not comparing you or any one else.
WillyP said that Ichbin does all the work. and he doesn't do all of it. I mean by this is that other people help out too. They find bugs and help other web msaters and crap like that. So he's not the only one who works. I mean is that I spend a lot of time coding in PHP and in Visual C# and in Visual Basic,
So don't have a lot of time on my hands.
2) I'm sorry that you don't under stand or get what I'm trying to tell you. I don't know of any other way to explain it.
