The article ID is not valid.

When one of my regular members writes an article they can create it but when they edit it and try to upload an image or save any edits they get this message:
The article ID is not valid.

Any ideas thanks.

Running smf 2.0 rc3 and tp 5-1

Just a guess but could this be because an Admin hasn't yet approved the article?

no I tried that 
BTW it does seem to save the changes. When you go back into the article the changes  are there. It just has that error.
