Hi even when i have the shoutbox scrolling set to 1 its still scrolling faster than i want it

Is there anyway to slow it down more ...

IchBin

You can only turn scrolling off for now until Bloc fixes the javascript code I think.

Blue Steel

the normal maque code div that i've used in the scrolling recent topics works..

its just that the code for the maque for the shoutblock is different... and i don't know where to change how / where it calculates or transwers it to the javascript.. he's not calling it the same way

Moocat

what browser are you using? the "1" speed seems rather slow on my site!

(firefox)

G6Cad

The scrolling can be fast sometimes, still dont know why though, but in IE the speed is slow, but the same setting in the FF the scroll moves very fast

Blue Steel

i checked using both FF and IE both were scrolling too fast here... you'd really need to be a speed reader to read it quick enough lol

I think you need to set your characters for your shout post to a limit like 255 or less for a shoutbox, I saw your forums shout and it looks like a book, paragraph after paragraph maybe this is why you cant read it quick enough  ;)

Blue Steel

I thiunk its cause i've also set the block to hold / show more shouts... ant that the overall text area is bigger than it was and its trying to scroll it all in that time... unlike how the recent topics scroller works.. that i've increased too but it hasn't spead it up... I just want the shoutbox scrolling to work the same way...

Please do not cross post, you have asked this same question in two different topics today.
