Blog, Image Gallery and Chat facility

[joncowcare]

Hi all,
Can anyone help me please ?
I'm looking for a Blog, Image Gallery and Chatline that will work with SMF [1.14 and TP] without causing any problems.
They need to be user-friendly, [in other words simple to use . . .] with a minimum of code-changing required.

I've done a search etc, and had a look at the "Felblog" but as it isn't supported by TP I'm not interested.

I'm also having problems with a smiley package [the animated ones used in this forum] I downloaded, it's in an "rar" file extension and consequently not recognised, does anyone have any idea how I get it to install please ?

I'd also like to know where I can download the theme "BZ14" as it's a work of art !
Thanks,
Jon

This is really something you need to look for at SMF at this point. Support for any of those things will have to be given by the mod authors. There are a couple of chat mods there already, along with a Blog mod or two and the gallery. The Bz themes are only for TP.net.

Sorry but this site is for help and support of TinyPortal: Functions, Articles, Blocks, Etc...

SMF is your best resource for other mods to use on your site

I wrote a tutorial on how to install smileys and it is located here

Hope this helps

But anyway,
Blog : FelBlog or Wordpress
Gallery : SMF Gallery lite/pro, Gallery 2, Coppermine Gallery
Chat : Integrated chat mod, FlashChat

I currently use Coppermine Gallery which is pretty good, Felblog for the blogs and Flashchat.  All works well together!!

Hi all,
Many thanks for all the suggestions, I'll do as suggested in the Smiley article and go the ftp route [a great article by the way, clear and concise].
Thanks for the blog and gallery ideas, I'll check them out.
Sorry for posting here, I just thought it was the logical place to start.
Regards,
Jon
