iGate

hi all.

i have a block that runs a countdown script.

seeing as i dont always have the time to reset the countdown i want a few trusted members to do this for me.

i would allow their member group to edit the block but they are in six different membergroups and i cannot allow all of the people within each member block to edit that coutdown block.

is there any way i can do this?

thx in advance

iGate

Edit:
lol as soon as a post this i have a brain wave.

What if i was to apply a secondary membergroup to these people and then give that membergroup permission to edit the block.

But i do not want to give them a secondary member group if this secondary membergroup appears on their forum posts.

Will the above work?

Ken.

Yes to the edit question, placing them into a secondary group that you create just for this purpose they will then only be able to edit blocks that you allow that group to edit.

As for the secondary member group title showing, that won't show up in their posts or profile AFAIK.

Ken.

You are welcome iGate, but you really solved it yourself.  ;)

If this satisfies your needs could you mark you topic as solved? Thanks.
