MySQL Issue
« on: November 28, 2007, 06:05:09 PM »
2: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource
File: /home/.fay/kirin/forums.thelazyfuturist.com/Packages/temp/tp_install.php
Line: 169

Hangs up the install every time. I tried a clean install of SMF + TP on the same server and it worked just fine, but clearly something's wrong with my tables.

Any thoughts?

Well, since I have no idea what versions of ANYTHING that you're using. Nor do I know how you are installing TP. Then I can't suggest anything. We have a posting guide here (in my signature) that you can follow to give us info on your setup.

My hunch is that it is a mysql error if its working on one server and not on the other.

Turns out it was a problem specifically with importing my old database. Fixed now. Thanks for the help, guys!
