SMF 1.1.4 Blank screen on apply mod

Okay,so i have installed tinyportal on my different forums many times before without a problem. Now i've had to reinstall from scratch one of the forums due to many major errors. Now, when i go into package manager, i upload the TP zip file successfully, when i go to "apply mod" not even the page that does the test to see if it'll work will appear. it just goes blank. So i refresh a couple of times, but still, nothing.

Please help if you know a solution or anything! I'm using SMF 1.1.4

Check the file permissions.. check the ownership of all files, that you have permissions to change the CHMOD.
Do other mods install correctly?

Go through the package installation guide at SMF and make sure all the files that need to be CHMOD, are.

Theres always the manual install too, in the Docs here.

yes, i have done that, unless, where it gives the folders, you're supposed to chmod the folder and it's contents?

Well, there is obviously a problem with the server/hosting.. The packages work fine.

What about other packages?

You say you've done many installs, so you know what you are doing. I can take a look if you like, but I'm in a public location at the mo with WiFi. I can't guarantee the stability of the connection here.

:S so yer... i've done this a few times before with other forums and there is no problem which makes it really frustrating. tbh, i really don't care about security right now, i mean, the site being hacked is the reason for it going downhill.

whats your max_execution_time, max_input_time, memory_limit?
If you are unsure create a file called as phpinfo.php
and add this to it

your max_input_time is -1...Where as it should've been atleast 30(60 recommended though)
So that is what is causing the trouble
BTW...I cannot find memory_limit in there.

well... i went to install the forum in a different location on the same server after that and i'm just waiting for my host to change where the domain name is pointing. but yes, that will be the URL.

Also, you are missing your TP copyright in the template. Hence, the error at the bottom...

If you can't install it via the package manager, just do a manual install then.
