Sending out a newsletter with links

Hi,

I am running SMF/Tiny postal with an Aero79 theme.

When I write a newsletter to members I can put a link to my board URL by entering {$board_url}.

But I cannot get any other links to show up in my newsletters.

Any solutions are much appreciated.
