I realize this is in the beta stage but it would be nice to have a TP for dummies that allows real life users that arent computer geeks to use this nice tool.
I think you need to go try other CMS/Portals first. Then come back and try TP. You will find that TP is the most easiest portal out of 99% of them.

QuoteMoreover maybe a bullitin board for just snipit and board requests.

We have a board for snippets and requests. Take a look.

I have used php nuke and tried playing with joomla and agree this bbs has quite a bit of advantages.  The ease of moving the template around through the style sheets, the security, the ability to pup php into the articles.  These are all reason I feel that your portal system has its advantages.  I believe that it is also growing into something even better.

Maybe I am missing something but it seems like the easy things for people who are just trying to get their site going are not communicated very well.  I believe like you it is good for people to get in an learn, however I also think something that maps everything out like a dummies manual would be useful, and would be willing to help with it.

I am critical because I am frustrated that it is taking longer for me to get everything up because I am trying to figure out things that I thought would be a standard package thing.  Forgive my negative feedback just frustrated.

We don't mind your feedback at all. As long as you try to be constructive. Perhaps you could explain what you're having troubles with so we can help? I would suggest starting your own topic however. :)
