Trying to find a setting that will allow my guests to post comments or vote on an article. I have the options turned on but as a guest it says "Commenting option has been turned off for this article." at the bottom of each article?

Thanks

Max

what version of tinyporal do you have?...

under Viewing options of the article, you must tick "Allow to comment"

rockskullz

I have version 0.9.8 TP and SMF 1.1.4

I have that option clicked on in the article options. It allows registered users to comment just not guests. same with voting. My site is www.offroad-review.com if you want to look for yourself. Thanks!!

Have you activated the article to be viewd by guests when you created it ?

i have everything checked on the options except the following.

- Show all articles in same category
- Show links to other categories

You can not.

It would be nice if the txt would read "Register to comment" vs. "...commenting has been disabled"

You could change the text to read something more user friendly like that in the TPortal.english.php file.

there you go rockskullz, perhaps an alternative! :|

Best option I can come up with.  I realize this is in the beta stage but it would be nice to have a TP for dummies that allows real life users that arent computer geeks to use this nice tool.  Moreover maybe a bullitin board for just snipit and board requests.
