View Topic Permissions

Hi , I am about to install Tiny Portal, but was wondering if you guys knew of any really good mods that allow you to set view topic permissions for a membergroup.

I know of the mods from the SMF website that will let me do this, but want to double check with you guys since the best mods seem to come from here.

So basically i'm looking for something that will let guests and regular users SEE that there are forums available and that they are active. But, I dont want them to have view access to the actual posts. Then a "Full Member" group will have access to both view and post in the actual private area.

Currently, by default, in SMF you can not set view perms for member groups to a board. You can only give them access or not.

Im sorry to say, but the only mod you get from this site is the TinyPortal.
There are however code snippets you can use with tinyportal mod that will give you what you seek. But in order to use them, you need to install TP to your SMF forum.

Thanks, i'm in the process of installing TP now. If you know of any links to those code snippets i'd be interested otherwise i'll try to find them on my own here.

Actually, to allow view of the topics but not of the posts is not supported here at all. That is an SMF mod or request. TP doesn't have any feature like that as far as I know.
