Choto_Cheeta

There is another problem.... The WhizzyWig editor is unable to hyperlink... and if i enter simple HTML by after selecting HTML it unable to understand...

in any case, I am unable to Hyperlink with WhizzyWig editor... and still with both theme, default SMF and my theme (Satellite) when ever i select No Editor or FCKeditor, instade of the Body Input box, it shows one iFrame pulling my main page in that Box...

pls some one help...

I'm half tempted to suggest we get rid of editors all together. Too many problems with the editors themselves that need to be fixed.

JPDeni

Forget using the editor. If you want to use html, just use a scriptbox and use raw html code. There's plenty of places on the 'net where you can find out what html code you need to create whatever you want.

Ken.

I'm still learning TP & SMF so my opinion wouldn't mean a lot when it comes to the internal workings of both, but as for the available editorsââ,¬Â¦ I stopped using them after a couple of tries.

It needs to be a ââ,¬Ëœfull-blownââ,¬â,,¢ HTML editor for me, FrontPage is what I use currently but if not F/P it would be something else like that so that my HTML could be tested out as a web page.
Fact is, I find it much easier to publish template pages to my site for anything that gets repeated more than a couple of timesââ,¬Â¦ like the basic outline of most articles and even some of my posts to topics on the forum.
It it needs to be HTML then it will be pasted in after it gets written somewhere else.

thank you for the reply....

please refer to the screen shot at 1st of my post... no matter wether I use the editor or not, the problem is, the "body" TEXT BOX, where I am suppose to enter the raw HTML, is missing, in place of that I find one iFrame, which pulls and displays my main page....

:( :(

IchBin

Yes, but you said it worked with one editor and not the other. So use the other one. :) Or don't use one at all. If an editor is not working I can only suggest you upload the files for that editor again.

bloc

The editor issues + textareas issues are something I will try to find solutions for. The former as as having others instead, or none at all, the latter to be able to use a textarea/form inside the textarea for the code. Thats what makes it behave like this.

Choto_Cheeta

thank you for ur reply...

Quotebut you said it worked with one editor and not the other

Sorry in any miss comunication,

what i really mean that atleast when selecting WhizzyWig editor, I dont get the iFrame instate of Body Text box... and with WhizzyWig editor there too it cant Hyperlink... :(

QuoteSo use the other one Or don't use one at all...

In the case other editor (FCKeditor) or when selecting no editor, I simply dont get the TEXT Input BOX :( .... at the Body option where it should be one text input box, i find an iFrame showing the main page url :(

QuoteI can only suggest you upload the files for that editor again

yes as per as your suggestion I have done that.... but unfortunate for me, still the same problem...

JPDeni

Quoteno matter wether I use the editor or not, the problem is, the "body" TEXT BOX, where I am suppose to enter the raw HTML, is missing,
Did you really try what I suggested and use a scriptbox and not a html + bbc box?

cubby61

This isn't the same but similar.  After upgrading to the latest version of SMF 1.1.2 and TP 9.7.1, I noticed that the button to create a hyperlink is missing from the FCKeditor.  Most if not all of the rest seem to be there.  Am I just overlooking this?
