Image Path for Articles

The answer to this question is probably right in front of me, but I cant seem to find it. When creating an article, I go to insert an image but nothing shows up to select. What is the default path for article images?

Currently its a bit cumbersome..you upload via one button and choose picture via another, the uploaded image will turn up there. The third "image" button is for remote images.

lol, now you really lost me. I must be missing something, I dont see any upload buttons. When I click the insert image icon I get:

[IchBin]

You should look for this button.
