Use the WYSIWYG editor?: in tiny portal setting has no effect

any ideas how to get it back???

It's a bug that will be fixed for TP V.098, im not sure there is a fix for it right now eather.
But try and go through your Profile and "your article" link there and see if you can get to it.

RoarinRow

patiently waiting for 0.9.8   :)

SMF 2.0 RC3
TP 1.0 beta 5-1
Wordpress 3.0

And its not fixed in 0.9.8

Ohh well maybe it shall be fixed in 0.9.9  :(

Resident Geek

You'll have to open up your SMF database to fix this.
Open up phpMyAdmin and open the tp_data section of your database.
Click browse up at the top above the table.
Find the row that has column 'type' set to 2 and has the 'ID_MEMBER' set to your member ID (Can find this in  the 'members' section of your database.)
delete this row
It will then be recreated and you will have your editor back.

Thank RoarinRow, not me. I had the same problem, he/she? fixed it.

Resident Geek

Oh ya, and just be sure never to select "no" from the use editor list again. Until that bug fix is out anyway.

I think there is some misunderstanding here..I have tested this bug several times and it should work as intended in TP0.9.8.

- If you as admin set editor as "none", no-one can choose another editor, all will have no editor.
- If admin option is set to one editor or another, you indeed have the choice of "none", "FCK" and "Whizzywig", settable inside the TP section of your profile. It was moved from the actual article screen.

It may be that old settings may have corrupted some of this, I am not sure, but setting admin option to a editor and THEN go to profile should solve that. In other words, you can safely set editor to "none".

This is indeed fixed in 0.9.8.

Go to Profiles -> Portal Functions -> Articles -> Settings

The original fix I posted only applies to 0.9.7.1 and lower.
