www.allzune.info
this i got from their homepage
try it out
<div id="hpEmbedVideo">
<object width="300" height="250"><param name="movie" value="path to video"></param><embed src="path to video" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="300" height="250"></embed></object>
</div>
dont know if it will work though - replace 'path to video' with the video addy
I just copied and pasted the code from YouTube that was in the "Embed" field. Put it into a regular html artice. Be sure you are not using an editor.
I made a little test one to start with, so you can see that it works. http://site.jpdeni.com/index.php?page=22
or even try this :
<object width=\"425\" height=\"350\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http://www.youtube.com/v/KhCmfX_PQ7E\"></param><embed src=\"http://www.youtube.com/v/KhCmfX_PQ7E\" type=\"application/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\"></embed></object>

JP tell us the code :D
QuoteJP tell us the code
Okay. I'm going to go through every step that most people won't need, but this will eliminate any possible confusion. :)
Go to the YouTube page that has the video you want. To the right of the video is a little box that says when it was added and who added it and the name and the category and some tags. Then there are two text fields. One says URL and the other says Embed. Double-click in the one that says Embed in order to highlight the whole field. Copy, using Control-C. Go to your site. Open an article -- with no editor. Paste, usiing Control-V. Click "Send". Click the Preview link to see it. :)
So my problem was the editor.....
Thank yall :)
Please, I need just a wee bit more detail on the Tiny Portal part. As I have not use an article but once before and it was a document.
I have the information on retrieving the the embed video, so what do I do next? What do you mean by opening an artical? Doesn't this imply that one must first be created?
I added a center block for articles and nothing happened, there was no place to past the info. So, I created an artical in artical manager by adding a new artical and pasting the info there. Still an error on frontpage. So in block managers, I created a artical and chose the info I had pasted into an artical but it still showed the code and not the video on the front page.
How to get rid of the editor, for opening the text box has all the formatting tools there although I did not use any formatting.
Thank you,
Go to TinyPortal > Article Manager
Click "Add" on the menu.
Add a title to the page -- whatever you want and then click "Send."
When the page reloads, if you see an editor there, scroll down to where it says "Choose editor" and select "No." Click "Send"
At this point, you should have a plain textarea to work with. Paste in your YouTube code. Click "Send."
At that point, you can create a block that will display the article.
Ok, thanks.
OK, got it to work, I needed to click on <> in the menu bar to choose HTML article. I place it in the center block. I added the video of Lauren reading a Haunted House, a poem I wrote while viewing my haunted village.
There's Shadow the Ghost in a right block as a chatter bot that you can talk with, after I add the Haunted theme by Stormy, I think I am going to have a most original site and forum.
